Mid-Atlantic Tracking Technology Cuts Down on Hospital Readmissions
Every time a patient is readmitted to a hospital for something that could have been avoided, it is a costly process. As a result, healthcare reform has focused on reducing the number of avoidable readmissions, and Mid-Atlantic Health Care is one of the providers that’s leading the way. Through the use of proprietary software it developed, Mid-Atlantic Health Care has been able to cut readmissions to the hospital to between 8 percent and 12 percent of its patients. The national average for readmissions is 25 percent.
